Dairy Production Operative

Mead Farm Foods Ltd is a dairy processing and doorstep deliveries business based at the Mead Farm in Redwick and it is looking for a right candidate to enjoy our busy environment.

This role involves bottling milk, packing products and washing glass bottles ready for production.

It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in fast moving environment and to be part of the small team supporting each other.

This job is physically demanding and very active with high standard of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.

You need to be reliable and flexible as some shifts may have different start time and alternating every other week.

This position can also bring opportunity to progress within the business for right candidate who is willing to learn, committed and will demonstrate excellent organisational skills.

Shift patterns:

Sundays (alternating when training completed) - start approximately 9am - finish 3pm/4pm

Tuesdays (alternating when training completed) - start approximately 9am - finish 3pm/4pm

Wednesdays - start approximately 9am - finish 1pm/2pm

Thursdays - start 7am/9am - finish 5pm/6pm

The is an option to do extra hours if the candidate requires.

The role involves:

• Operating the washing equipment for the glass bottles and crates.
• Following the washing procedures and maintaining high standard of hygiene and cleanliness of the premises and equipment at all times.
• Packing finished products, staking crates and preparing ready for distribution.
• To adhere to Health and Safety standards.
• To work in a flexible and organised manner while always supporting the team
• Communicating at all levels to ensure efficient outputs.
• Any other washing and maintenance duties in the processing area.

• Essential Skills:

• Experience in food manufacturing desirable but not essential, full training will be provided.
• Willing to learn and develop within the business.
• The ability to work on fast moving production lines.
• Have a good eye for detail to ensure accuracy and precision.
• High standard of hygiene and basic knowledge of food safety standards.
• Positive attitude possessing high levels of commitment and motivation.
• Forward thinking and possessing a can-do attitude.
• Reliability.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
