What you’ll be doing ️
- Develop and implement robust Data Governance frameworks.
- Lead data quality initiatives and monitor metrics.
- Create and maintain comprehensive Data Governance documentation.
- Embed a data risk framework and manage key data risks.
- Collaborate with Data Owner/Steward to prioritise and ensure timely outcomes.
- Ensure resource adequacy for key data domain activities.
- Provide guidance on governance best practices.
- Lead a cultural shift, treating data as a primary asset.
- Drive changes anticipating shifts in the business's strategic direction.
- Oversee recruitment, training, management, and development of staff.
- Assist in developing strategies for Data Governance and compliance.
- Oversee data protection compliance, including requests and incident management.
To excel in this role, you’ll need to be able to demonstrate…
- Proven experience driving business change through Data Governance practices.
- Understanding of data protection and information security legislation.
- Proficiency in data quality practices, tools, and master data principles.
- Familiarity with Data Governance principles and systems development.
- Experience overseeing large data projects as a subject matter expert.
- Experience in UK GDPR/Data Protection compliance.
- Minimum degree-level education in a data-driven discipline.
- Strong problem-solving ability, effective communication, motivation, resourcefulness, flexibility, and teamwork
- Previous experience in social housing and a Data Management qualification would make your application stand out, but they’re not essential.
