The successful applicant will be working as part of a team with colleagues in the Enterprise Data Team (EDT) and business team, learning new tools and skills to deliver successful projects. They will have the opportunity to work in roles across the EDT, gaining experience in our Data Management teams. They will support the delivery of EDT projects by undertaking business analysis and Data Management tasks as part of the Data Management and Tooling team. They will work with business teams to deploy Data Management tooling and the creation of Data Management dashboards, learning and developing data visualisation skills.
The Enterprise Data Team is establishing group-wide access to data which is understood, trusted, available and valued. It aims to create an environment where data is valued by the organisation and, in turn, is used to generate value.
- Populate data lineage and data definitions with our Data Catalogue tool which helps ensure we understand the source of our data and how it can be used
- The development of reporting dashboards in visualisation tools such as PowerBI
- Working with business users to capture technical metadata (information which describes the data)
- Creation of data quality rules, exception management workflows
- Creation of Dashboards to track and measure the quality and accuracy of the data he business use to support decision making
- Providing ad hoc support to wider team as and when required
- You will also get exposure to a number of different projects and initiatives within the team, and the chance to participate and contribute in regular team meetings
- Good and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of accuracy and good attention to detail
- Structured approach to work and very well organised
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Moderate understanding of the MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good numerical skills

Qualification Required:
Upon completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities for career progression within our Enterprise Datateam or other relevant departments based on performance, business needs, and available opportunities. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.
Training Provided:
This is a fixed term contract for 15 months upon which the business may decide to retain, subject to the Apprentice performance, headcount, and available funding. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department.
