As a Data Quality Analyst, you will be working on our Strategic Data Platform (Nucleus) to identify and analyse Data Quality issues. Investigating and drilling down to the root cause of issues and being able to clearly articulate the problems found and their business impact to both business and Technology colleagues.
- Lead the identification, root cause analysis, and documentation of quality issues and their business impact within Nucleus.
- Communication of root causes to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Liaison and collaboration with source system owners and subject matter experts as part of investigations.
- Advise on new and enhancements to Data Quality measuring systems to improve the trapping and highlighting of issues within Nucleus.
- Collaborate with Data Design and Data Engineering colleagues on the resolution or mitigation of Data Quality issues.
- Work with Data Management colleagues on the implementation of Data Quality tools and processes.
- Be a champion and advocate for Data Quality within Nucleus
- Analytical and problem-solving approach with a logical thought process for the identification of root causes to Data Quality issues.
- Strong SQL skills to support data investigations and analysis.
- Ability to articulate Data concepts to help colleagues and business partners understand the nature of Data Quality issues.
- Good eye for detail and a passion for data.
- Strong customer focus.
- Proficient with Microsoft suite (especially Excel/PowerPoint)
- Experience working in a large multi business unit organisation.
Nice to have:
- Appreciation of business processes in a Retail company.
- Appreciation of Data Management, Governance and Quality standard process,
- Knowledge of Data Quality tools.
- Experience with Data Catalogue tools such as Collibra would be an advantage.
