TCPA Development Project Manager Solar & BESS UK
An exciting opportunity for a TCPA Development Project Manager to support the development of significant Solar PV projects for RWE.
Specialising in the development of large-scale, grid-connected Solar and energy storage farms you would be instrumental in delivering projects within the UK market.
As a TCPA Development Project Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Lead managing the planning application process.
- Undertake and support the consultation process with the Local Planning Authority and local community.
- Scoping, budgeting and appointing the external consultant/legal team responsible helping us secure the TCPA.
- Managing the grid connection process, supported by Grid Manager.
- Working alongside the Desing Team and Business Dev. team to optimise the project.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Managing that multi-disciplinary team from early stage through to consent and potentially post consent conditions, including but not limited to:
- Land referencing team
- Legal property team
- Legal planning team
- Legal CPO team (if necessary)
- Planning Team
- Environmental Team (if separate from planning team)
- Compliance
- Comms and Stakeholder Engagement
- The candidate will sit at the centre of this team, operating in a project management role to ensure each constituent part is working in a coordinated manner with the rest of the team.
- Work through the pre-application phase with each sub-consultant/legal team to ensure the application remains on time/budget… and on track for formal application.
- Once the TCPA application has been submitted, the candidate will be expected to manage and support this phase, stepping in to represent where appropriate.
- Discharge of planning conditions and handover to construction.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Perform other duties, appropriate to the position as the company may require from time to time.
As a TCPA Development Project Manager, you will have the following skills and experiences:
- Team player with great communication skills and a structured way of working.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility-scale solar farm development and infrastructure projects.
- Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate they have been supported the developer/Project Manager for TCPA projects.
- Prior experience on renewable energy projects, would be preferred, although not strictly necessary.
- Successful track record in project delivery and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Developing and managing work projects, deadlines and task-related resources.
- Adapting to new challenges and learning swiftly.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Project Management, Engineering or related discipline.
- Ideally a Master’s Degree and/or Professional Membership in a related discipline.
- Proficient with MS Office and comfortable at creating models on Excel to assist with your designs/assessment.
- Initiative, a “can-do” attitude and a high desire to succeed.
- Valid Drivers’ Licence (preferable).
- Eligible to live and work in the UK.
