A Dealership Accountant is required to join the Swansway family. The role will report into a Group Accountant and will work closely with the General Manager/Head of Business to produce monthly management accounts for the site. You will line manage a small team and be responsible for their ongoing development. There may be occasions where you are required to support our other dealerships in the division.
As the Dealership Accountant day-to-day, you will be reporting on sales and service financials and be responsible for production of several monthly reports. You will be approachable and offer best practice as well as being a key financial support to the Dealership Manager.
You will be responsible for the completion of month end, manufacturer composites and VAT reporting, you will also assist in the production of the monthly payroll cycle.

- Quarterly VAT returns
- Weekly cash-flow forecasting
- Annual and periodic budgeting
- Payroll inputting/sign-off
- Regular accounts forecasting
- Maintenance of dealership ledgers
- Negotiation of any contracts/dealership costs
- Streamlining of current processes/procedures
More about you:
We are looking for you to have worked as a Dealership Accountant in the motor trade (18 + months). You should be a qualified Accountant or be qualified by experience (QBE). You should be used to getting your sleeves rolled up and you should be used to working in a fast-paced environment. We would also like you to have experience of the following systems:
- Kerridge – revision 8
- ADP Accounts
- CDK Autoline

We’re expanding our own-brand, Motor Match our used sites, and we don’t stop at dealerships; we operate four Volkswagen Group Trade Part Centres, an Accident Repair Centre, a Group Fleet Sales Centre and an eBay shop re-cycling obsolete parts. All this is supported by our Head Office in Crewe.
