The Role:
This newly formed management role will be pivotal in the delivery of the councils Electric Vehicle (EV) plan.
The EV plan sits within the wider Streets for People project. The role will be focussing on the current EV charging provision across the council, as well as new infrastructure required.
The role will have a strategic overview for EV delivery across the council departments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the implementation and delivery of projects, working with Officers, contractors, stakeholders and elected representatives to ensure the highest standards are achieved.
The role sits within the Asset Management Services team that is currently responsible for the operational delivery of the current EV charging provision as well as the Street Lighting and Smart City infrastructure across the council.

About You:
The applicant will require a good depth of electrical knowledge, favourably in the deployment of EV ChargePoint infrastructure. They will also require experience in procurement and commercial frameworks.
The applicant will be comfortable with managing a portfolio of works and liaising with both officials and contractors alike.
The role will require an outgoing individual, that is open to liaising with new areas across the council and ensuring there is open communication to create a joined-up approach for EV infrastructure deployment.

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Hours of work, 36 hours Monday - Friday
FTC for 2 years
