You will be accountable for technology delivery which may include the planning, scoping, resourcing and budgeting of a project or programme of work, executing consistently to a high quality and aligning with governance requirements.
Key accountabilities:
- Owning the delivery of key technical programmes from start to finish taking full accountability of aligning these with the company's set objectives.
- Developing and maintaining a programme plan detailing the key milestones needed in order to achieve the programme's aim.
- Ensure all teams and squads have project plans in place which feed into the programme plan. Support the Service Owner with strategic long-term planning, managing scope, and replanning as needed.
- Ensure the programme's requirements are clear to the rest of the organisation, supporting the Service Owner in the OKR process in order to prioritise the programme's work against other organisational priorities. Staying abreast of cross-organisational issues, working with other teams to remove blockers to the programme.
- Continuously monitor the progress and performance of the teams and squads within the programme,
- ensuring they align with established goals and objectives. Support teams and squads to resolve
- issues, working with Delivery Managers/Technical Delivery Managers where applicable.
- Put in place a process to capture, track and manage risks, issues, actions, dependencies and decisions. Ensure these are actively managed and instil a culture of proactive risk management across the programme.
- Support the Service Owner with budget management, working with the Finance team to manage each of the programme's budget. Ensuring squads and teams are adequately resourced, flagging resourcing issues to the Service Owner.
- Utilise specialist technical experience in high-performance, cloud computing, 1AM & security to set the direction and guiderails for delivery and challenge engineers and other technical experts in overall design and delivery.
- You will be responsible for ensuring successful ongoing operations, monitoring and management of delivered services in line with contractual Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators as well as responsible for financial management and optimisation of services.
- Oversee procurement across the programmes, ensuring the programme team adheres to procurement processes and working with the Procurement team to validate that procurements are on track.
- Act as the secretariat for the Programme Boards and providing reporting to other governance structures as required by the programme. Co-ordinate external assurance processes (e.g. ISO Audits, Governmental Gateway reviews) to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.
- Responsible for appropriate resourcing to meet objectives, working to shape and lead an internal team. Where augmentation is required, they create clear statements of work to engage external parties to deliver specialised support and manage those parties to ensure continued focus on value creating activities.
- Ensure teams and squads are clear on which parts of the programme they are responsible for delivering. Implement ways of working across the programme to promote open communication and knowledge sharing among team members.
