We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Delivery Planner for a distribution client based in Wakefield, WF2.
This role is initially on a temporary basis for up to 4 weeks, however this could become a permanent position for the right person.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Liaising with customers & stores to schedule direct deliveries in accordance with the delivery schedule
• To handle all customer queries and questions regarding delivery
• Track and update daily routing plans and monitor issues to ensure we achieve deliveries within legislation to company standards
• To support the Transport Manager and other members of the team when required
• Help to deliver all transport movements
• Maintain level of service in line with customer requirements
• React to delays efficiently and effectively ensuring that service levels are maintained
• General day-to-day office duties
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Outstanding and proven customer service skills
• Excellent telephone manner and verbal communication
• Strong problem solving skills
• Confident and enthusiastic
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Good geographical knowledge
• Experience of working in a fast-moving environment
• An understanding of transport / logistics
• Organisational and time-management abilities
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively alone and equally as part of a team
Hours:
• Monday to Friday
• 08.00am-17.30pm
Salary:
• £12.00 hourly rate
