Overview of the role

As Delivery Team Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring delivery service is operational with daily service levels being achieved or surpassed. You will manage daily routines including health & safety, absence management and other HR related processes and procedures, cost and performance across a region of 20-35 stores typically with 35-40 delivery drivers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Responsible for health & safety in line with Industry and Business requirements and regulatory bodies.
  • Responsible for required management of HR processes and procedures in line with Business polices, including absence management, welfare, disciplinary/grievance process within your sub-division.
  • Management of daily operation ensuring service levels and KPI’s are achieved or surpassed.
  • Responsible for budgets and monthly P&L at sub-divisional level for all stores within region of responsibility – C£300-350k
  • Build and maintaining of relationships across sub-division with Pharmacy managers, AOM’s and ROM’s (key stakeholders in assisting HDS deliver a fit for the future operating model).
  • Communicate effectively across driver population, creating a continuous improvement mind-set which in-turn develops a change culture. Increase colleague engagement.
  • Ensure all required training is undertaken for all personnel within division and all legal requirements are always adhered to.
  • Role model the Business behaviours and values

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Able to influence key stake holders across different functions where needed.
  • Proven examples in delivering change in previous employment including benefit tracking.
  • Able to resolve simple issues locally with minimal support required.
  • Previous First Line Management Position desirable
  • Experience in managing HR issues and Company policies and able to conduct thorough investigations and grievance resolution.
  • Able to demonstrate experience in accident management and root cause analysis.
  • Previous experience and understanding of managing a budget.
