- Learning Disability Deputy Care Manager –MOORCARE DEVON LIMITED
Reporting to
Registered Manager and Care Manager in Tavistock Devon.
This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week office based and 3 days a week working across our Supported Living for younger people.
This is a new role that has been created to support our younger clients and the staff supporting them.
Full time Monday to Friday plus on-call.
5.6 weeks annual leave
Essential Qualification level 5 (or willing to work towards). Advancement and funded training to level 5 for the right candidate if needed.
Subject to Enhanced DBS and satisfactory references
Moorcare Devon Limited is a Supported Living provider and home care company providing 24 hr supported Living for older people across 2 sites and 1 site for younger people.
Rated as good by the Care Quality Commission, our Registered Care Manager is seeking an individual to join the leadership team, which prides itself on maintaining consistently high standards of care.
Using person-centred approaches in care service delivery, the Deputy Care Manager will be equally dedicated to supporting staff and training them to improve and develop.
The ideal candidate will have experience and can demonstrate management skills to at least team leader level.

Deputy Care Manager key responsibilities include:
Supporting the Registered Care manager and Care Manager with CQC compliance management ·
Working with the Care Rota Co-Ordinator to meet capacity requirements
supporting the Care Manager to run the workplace, including covering in their absence and ensuring standards of care are maintained
ensure the service safely plans staffing levels and complies with legislation and regulatory requirements
Undertake care assessments of people needing care and support, as well as working closely with healthcare professionals and others
Helping the service to recruit and develop new care workers, supporting, supervising and performance managing them
