We're proud to partner with a respected children's residential care provider dedicated to nurturing children's growth and well-being. Their homes in Exeter, like this one, offer a safe and welcoming space for up to three children. With cozy bedrooms and inviting communal areas including a lounge, dining area, and study, there's plenty of room for relaxation and study.

Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Manager:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the residential support team, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations.
- Oversee the delivery of care and support to children and young people within the residential setting, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with external professionals and stakeholders, tailored to the individual needs of each child.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration, promoting positive relationships and effective communication among staff members.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and supervision of residential support workers, providing mentorship and support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Act as a point of contact for families, external agencies, and other stakeholders, advocating for the best interests of the children.
- Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and effectively manage a team.
- A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people, with a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and best practice.
- Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain composed in challenging situations.
- Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and evenings.
- Minimum age requirement of 21 years (due to legislative requirements).
