We are currently seeking a Deputy Care Manager to join our client team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall management and coordination of care services within our organization.
As a Deputy Care Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Care Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring high-quality care is provided to our clients. Your strong leadership skills and exceptional attention to detail will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of our care services.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Care Manager to develop and implement care plans for clients
- Oversee a team of care staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Conduct regular assessments to ensure the care needs of clients are being met
- Coordinate and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times
- Monitor the quality of care provided and implement improvements where necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation
- Assist with recruitment and training of new care staff
- Perform on-call duties on a rotational basis, providing support and guidance to care staff outside of regular working hours
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within the healthcare sector
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, their families, and care staff
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations relating to care services
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Proficiency in using care management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
