About The Role

Join our award-winning Telegraph Magazine team where you will be part of a fast-paced, dynamic environment producing the Telegraph’s standalone Saturday magazine.

Work on all aspects of the title, from long-form features to beauty and fashion in a close-knit, friendly and busy team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sub-edit all aspects of the Telegraph Magazine in print and digital as required, as part of a permanent team of three.
  • Ensure all copy is meticulously fact-checked and edited for sense, grammar and spelling.
  • Liaise with all departments of the magazine, from the editor and commissioning editors to art, legal and pictures.
  • Write enticing headlines, standfirsts and captions.
  • Liaise with writers to ensure sources/facts are correct.
  • Help to meet weekly production deadlines.
  • Deputise for the chief sub-editor in their absence.

Key Skills

  • Experience of sub-editing on a national/consumer/specialist title.
  • The ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Experience of using InDesign and InCopy.
