Deputy Director, Corporate Marketing

We are currently looking for a new Deputy Director of Corporate Marketing to join our ONCAMPUS Marketing team on a full-time, permanent basis. 

TheDeputy Director of Corporate Marketing will lead on the strategic implementation of CEGs brand, brand presence and perception. Working closely with the wider marketing and regional teams, they will –support sales to achieve recruitment targets.

The role will be responsible for building the B2B activity to grow the number of University partners as well as increasing brand awareness in market to prospective students, parents and agents and identifying and reporting on new market opportunities.

Within this role, the post holder will line-manage, coach and provide leadership to the Corporate Marketing team, ensuring they are well-briefed, supported and work effectively with the wider team, delivering on their objectives.

Key responsibilities within this role include:

• Deliver relevant and up to date digital presence for CEG, OnCampus and Campus Services.
• Provide strategic oversight to the Corporate Marketing function, ensuring they align with wider business objectives and monitoring delivery.
• Lead on cross-product strategic marketing campaigns and projects, working closely with the Director of Marketing.
• Manage the marketing department budget, ensuring all budget holders spend at pace according to annual budget plans and providing support and contingency planning.
• Work with cross-functional teams at CEG to align on business needs and identify marketing opportunities.
• Keep abreast of all functions Trading trends and objectives and ensure Corporate Marketing, communications and campaigns reflect these.
• Be responsible for the creation of corporate strategy, plans and materials.
• Work closely with the relevant functional leads to understand the brand proposition for each and its products and to ensure our Corporate Marketing channels accurately reflect and position our brand.
• Work with the wider team to ensure marketing collateral adheres to the brand’s messaging framework.

Key background, experience and skills expected:

• Educated to undergraduate degree level or equivalent marketing qualifications.
• Extensive experience in a digital, community creation or marketing role, within a commercially driven environment.
• Line-management experience in a corporate / marketing environment.
• Experience with digital campaign planning and digital community development
• Higher education sector experience (desirable)
• Experience of working with international commercial partners (desirable)
• Strong management skills with a proven track record of creativity and producing effective digital marketing communications and to achieve targeted results.
• Strategic thinker with strong planning skills
• Strong project management skills
• Familiarity with product training and awareness raising across a complex business organisation.
• Understanding of both B2B and B2C marketing.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Proven record of delivery and ability to manage multiple projects at any one time.
