The Role
As a Deputy Director, you will be our client’s strategic lead for employment, helping develop their programme of Research and Development.
Helping to lead their Research and Development team, you will continue to build a clear programme of work, secure funding and deliver innovative and impactful projects on Labour Market and Inclusion Issues. You will ensure high-quality outputs and maximise impact on policy and practice.
You will also lead identified cross organisation initiatives and support the development and impact of the organisation internally and externally. Working with stakeholders across local and national government, the media and funding streams, you will be the credible and influential voice on employment-related issues.
Additionally, you will:
- Identify and build relationships with funders
- Lead and manage staffing and non-staffing resources
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, media and current and potential funders
About You
To be considered as a Deputy Director, you will need:
- Experience delivering complex and high-profile programmes of Research and Development work
- An understanding of current policy context around employment and the Labour Market
- An understanding of quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies
- Knowledge of the policy-making process and how to influence it
- Excellent networking skills with knowledge of, and connections with, key policymakers, stakeholders and funders across employment and Labour Market issues
Please note, travel and occasional overnight stays will be required.
