Operations:
- overall responsibility for ensuring that all operational aspects of the organisation including finance, HR, IT, office management, insurance and the website run smoothly and efficiently
- responsible for ensuring that the cafe delivers a quality food offer to Workshop users and local residents and building the cafe as a community resource
- manage, motivate and develop the office staff and cafe manager, setting objectives and providing feedback
- oversee the management of studio rentals and communications with members
Finance:
- responsibility for creating the annual budget with the Director
- co-ordinating with outsourced accountants on month end processes, management accounts and statutory returns
- ensuring that income targets are met and expenditure controlled
- reviewing and developing grant funding bids, monitoring reporting and delivery of successful bids
HR:
- recruit and onboard new staff and freelancers as needed
- managing performance and benefits, and staff development
- keeping track of employee information and ensuring the Workshop is compliant with current legislation and remains a London Living Wage employer
Governance:
- support the management of the board of directors and lead on the administrative, organisation and attendance of quarterly board meetings
- be the designated safeguarding lead
