Reports to: Director of Sixth Form
Start Date: September 2024
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £37,667 - £48,857 (AM1 - AM6) + TLR 2A (depending on experience)

The Role:
We are recruiting a Deputy Director of Sixth Form to join a dynamic Sixth Form team led by the Director of Sixth Form.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A strong track record of teaching in KS5 understanding of post-18 progression options
- An understanding of the school curriculum and post-16/18 options
- Demonstrable commitment to raising attainment of all Sixth Form students in a challenging classroom environment
- Experience of having designed, implemented and evaluated effective, imaginative and stimulating schemes of work
- Experience leading a team and/or working to support the significant success of others, including professional development and effective management of underperformance
- Experience of interpreting complex student data to drive lesson planning and student progress
- Excellent understanding of both subject and general teaching pedagogy
- Be or demonstrate the potential to become an outstanding teacher
- Effective and systematic behaviour management
- Knowledge of the national secondary education system, examinations and curriculum, particular in KS5
- Knowledge of compliance for syllabus requirements
