Shift: Mon - Friday 8.30 to 5.00
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000+ DOE
Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing company in Sheffield who due to continuous growth are looking to appoint a Deputy Group Health, Safety and Environmental Manager. As the Group is growing, this position has scope for promotion in the coming years.
Job Duties:
- Work closely with other H&S and Quality team members
- Development and implementation of our H&S manuals and associated risk assessments and safe working procedures
- Training and inductions for UK based employees
- Support the development and maintenance of our extensive range of safety & environmental policies and practices throughout the UK businesses, including our ISO 14001 accreditation
- Varied working environment across all our UK companies within Sheffield
- Supporting management in continuous improvement programmes
Job Requirements:
- Familiarity with auditing to ISO 45001, and 14001 standards
- Experienced within a multi-site, steel / engineering or manufacturing environment
- Hold a NEBOSH certificate qualification as a minimum, possibly working towards the H&S Diploma.
- An environmental qualification would be desirable like IEMA Foundation Certificate or similar but not essential
