Responsibilities
• Coordinating client admissions & creating individual care plans• Liaising with client representatives and healthcare providers• Auditing care plan entries and communicating changes to staff and families• Maintaining communication with GOM regarding incidents and complaints• Ensuring correct systems for ordering and administering medicines• Providing reports to management and external organizations• Implementing and reviewing nursing risk assessments• Maintaining communication with clients/families on condition changes• Keeping staff up-to-date with clinical practices through training• Promoting and adhering to the philosophy of the home• Working with Care Home IT Technologies• Assisting with non-nursing administrative tasks
Requirements
• RGN valid pin• DBS Check• Specialist Nursing Practices• Knowledge of Care Quality Commission (CQC) Guidelines• Knowledge of Gold Standard Framework for end of life Care (desired but not essential)• Knowledge of Dementia Strategy and Dementia mapping (desired but not essential)
Key Skills Needed
• RGN qualification• Experience in clinical care• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Organizational and time management skills• IT skills• Knowledge of nursing practices and regulations
