Role Description Deputy Service Manager You must live in the UK and have the Right to Work in the UK. SeeAbility is unable to support any sponsorship requests. Location: Seaford, East Sussex Salary: £29,601 per annum plus benefits. Hours: 37.5 per week, flexibly. The successful candidate will have achieved or be working towards their Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care and have gained some management experience. You will possess a positive and reliable outlook, be flexible to service requirements and able to take direction from the Registered Manager. You will assist the Registered Manager and deputise for them in their absence, and lead your team to provide extraordinary, person-centred support. You will ensure the safety of the people we support, whilst giving choice, respecting dignity, and promoting independence. You will also celebrate the achievement of individual goals, however small or large, each and every day. Working in partnership with the people we support, their families, our specialist teams, and external agencies, you'll champion skilful interactions, person-centred planning and partnership working. You will plan and implement professionally designed support plans that genuinely improve the quality of everyday life. Acting as a role model and mentor to the team, you will facilitate the use of collaborative working. This will include sound judgment, creative solutions to enable both them and the people we support to achieve individual goals and develop. You will manage staff performance, training and appraisals ensuring the team are equipped and motivated to deliver the best support possible. To be successful in this role you'll be truly passionate about the provision of exceptional and person-centred support. You will lead by example, with the ability to inspire, mentor and develop both your team and the people we support. You will be responsible for the quality of care and support delivered, both by yourself and your team. Always striving to do what is right by the people we support, to achieve extraordinary outcomes. Experience of working with people who have learning disabilities, autism and/or visual impairment is also advantageous. In addition, you will be required to work flexibly to respond to the needs of the service. You will therefore be required on call to provide emergency support include evenings and weekends on a rota basis. Being able to drive, will be advantageous in this circumstance.
