Elevation Recruitment Group is working exclusively with a leading manufacturer to recruit a Deputy Production Manager to join their facility based in Ilkeston.
Hours - Day - Mon-Friday - 7am - 3.30pm some flexibility
Reporting to the Project Production Manager, this Deputy Production Manager is pivotal in providing the best product for the best price whilst maximising the value for the customer.
Our Client is looking for someone who can work collaboratively with different teams, has a “can do” attitude and an eagerness to develop skills and grow within the company.
Duties of the Deputy Production Manager will include:
- Ensuring safe operational practices are implemented at all times
- Working in close collaboration with the Project SHEQ Manager to develop and implement fit for purpose RAMS & SOPS
- Continuing education and dynamic training of production teams
- Driving the implementation of high housekeeping standards
- Ensuring the attainment of stretching quality standards through the embedment of CI and LEAN Manufacturing initiatives
- Efficient operation of the resource to generate efficiency & cost control
- Driving attainment of productivity targets
- Directly supporting the Production Manager with the organisation of Demoulding, Setting, Pouring, Finishing, Curing, Turning & Load Out activities
- Direct management of onsite Store facility
- Timely planning and implementation of proactive maintenance interventions (Moulds, Cranes, Curing System and Hydraulic hardware)
- Working in close collaboration to ensure successful implementation of performance monitoring metrics
- Daily interaction with the Project Production Planner to ensure Steel, Casting and Delivery requirements are all aligned
- Direct interface and relationship building with third-party suppliers
We would be keen to speak with Deputy Production Managers who have the following skills and experience:
- Strong administration skills
- General haulage knowledge
- Experienced in using various IT systems and software packages
- Organised with the ability to prioritise own workload and work under extreme pressure
- Eagerness to develop skills, knowledge and abilities in line with the growth across the company
