Setting:

The Academy is a secondary mixed mainstream non-selective academy, educating and supporting students aged 11 – 16 years, based in Higher Blackley, North Manchester. The Academy has over 1600 students on roll and is part of an Academies Trust.

Role: 

For the position of Design and Technology Teacher Maternity cover until Summer 2024 - part time or full time.

The successful candidate must be willing to be very flexible over days / hours worked

Are you a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher with the ability to teach CAD or Resistant Materials seeking your next teaching role?

Due to the growing popularity of the academy and a rapid growth in student numbers, we are seeking to appoint a committed and dynamic Design and Technology Teacher to join our team.

We are looking for a Design and Technology Teacher who is passionate about their subject and is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of Technologists. In this role you will need to have a strong subject and pedagogical knowledge so that you can deliver lessons of a high standard to our students.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Up to date knowledge of Design and Technology curriculum
• Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children
• Relevant teaching experience across Key stage 3 and 4.
• Up to date Safeguarding Training (You can undertake a free course with U-educate if you have not got a a safeguarding certificate dated within the last 12 months

Hours of work:

Part time or Full time – Negotiable
