Form of workMechanical Design Engineer.
Our client is a medium sized engineering manuafcturing company base in Basingsoke and they are looking to strength their in hose design team by recruiting a graduate mechnical designer engeer to the team.
This role reports into the Head of Operations and is to support a team of Design Engineers in design and detailing to generate appropriate designs and detailed drawings which meet customer and / or research and development requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
To carry out copy draughting and detailed designs under the guidance of a Design Engineer.
To develop detailed design specifications from written, verbal, and other media.
To generate design schemes, risk assessments, drawings, bills of materials, parts lists, technical manuals, and other technical documentation using, but not limited to, AutoCAD, Inventor, ICAPS, Word, Excel etc.
Create and carry out calculations for machines where necessary.
Research, specify and recommend equipment and components for use in designs.
Participate in site visits for your development, and to support other areas of the business.

Experience in capital equipment manufacture and design environment.
Proficient in the use of Autodesk 3D Inventor, or other 3D CAD packages.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, predominantly Excel & Word.
Educational Qualifications:
Minimum academic level required: 2.1 Mech Eng or other Engineering Discipline
Ideal academic level preferred: 1st Mech Eng or other Engineering Discipline
Mobility Requirements:
Travel may be required from time to time to visit customers and suppliers, so driving. licence and passport required.
