Astute’s Power team is partnering with a consultancy firm who work with various companies including within the energy sector to recruit a Design Lead (Transmission & Distribution) across the UK, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, multiple locations in the South.

Responsibilities and duties

* Identify innovative and sustainable solutions within Transmission & Distribution projects
* Plan technical delivery and lead the multidisciplinary team from concept stage, through to final implementation for HVDC, interconnectors, windfarms, substations, building design, protection systems, LVAC, FEED, new builds, refurbishment works, connections schemes.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* Degree qualified
* Ideally Chartered Engineer

Personal skills

The Design Lead role would suit someone who is:

* Experienced with leading technical design teams
* Background in Transmissions & Distribution
