Location: Wigan, Lancashire WN3 6XD.
Salary: £25,469.76 Basic per annum initially (40 hour working week, averaged over 12 months). Plus £6,652.92 - Shift Inconvenience Money (SIM) per annum. Progressing after successful completion of probation period to: £27,900 basic per annum (Shift Inconvenience money remains the same).
Contract: Full time, permanent.

Despatch Operator - About the role:
We are currently looking to recruit a new member of the Despatch team. The successful candidate will be ambitious, capable of maintaining responsibility for production flow and quality distribution of finished goods. Full training will be provided where required.
Despatch Operator - Responsibilities:
* Optimise running of Despatch finished goods line, including but not limited to; Pallet Inserters, Pallet Presses, Top Board Inserter, Shrink Wrappers, Cut Sheet and FLT operations.
* Loading and unloading of trailers to coincide with On Time in Full deliveries and progressive demand from production.
* Maintain warehousing standards and uphold stock rotation processes
* Liaising with Despatch Team Leader and Manager to prioritise workload safely and correctly
* Responding to challenges by focusing on results-based solutions
* Flexible approach to business requirements
* Promotion of Health & Safety, in addition to housekeeping and quality standards
* Ability to work collectively and individually
* Deputising for Despatch Team Leader as and when required
What we need from you:
* Proactive and self-motivating
* Previous warehousing and logistics experience
* Current FLT counterbalance license desirable
* MINDA system
* Knowledge of Carpal/SAP advantageous but not essential
* Willingness to learn and progress is essential.
