About the role…
The City Growth & Delivery team provides a wide range of services, from marketing the city and helping local businesses, to improving the environment and protecting historic buildings. You’ll provide administrative and business support to the team, including preparing marketing materials, arranging meetings and events, keeping databases, and managing your own portfolio of small projects. You’ll learn about the work of the whole Council and will get directly involved in supporting and promoting development and investment in Gloucester, working within the Economic Development, Regeneration and Heritage teams. No two days will be the same as you’ll work on a wide range of interesting projects and services whilst studying for a Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship from Gloucestershire College.
What we need from you…
You’ll need to have good organisation and communication skills, including social media, and you’ll need to have a flair for designing and producing marketing materials. Above all else though, you’ll need to be interested in Gloucester and keen to make a difference to the future of the city.
Apprenticeship information…
This Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship is delivered in partnership with Gloucestershire College. The apprenticeship lasts for 21 months, and you have an additional 3 months of guaranteed employment whilst you undertake an end-point assessment. 20% of your time will be 'off the desk'. The apprenticeship will cover the following core areas:

- Project management
- Business fundaments
- Relevant regulation
- Managing performance
- Personal qualities
- Responsibility
