SalaryCherry Professional are currently working with a market leading engineering company. You will be responsible for the specification, development, and implementation of computational models.
Responsibilities:
- Applying computational modelling experience (RCS/EM prediction, noise and vibration in particular) to assigned projects
- Developing and establishing new testing processes and procedures to support computational model
- Integration of test data into computational model, analysis of validity of model and optimization thereof
- Technical communication with customers/suppliers in support of business development or sales activity
- Developing new computational models
- Utilising specialist knowledge to deliver strategic projects (e.g., electromagnetic attenuation, vibration and acoustic absorption)
- Ensuring adherence to company policies and business regulations
- Designing, organizing, and executing material qualification programs in customer specific applications
- Collecting, recording, collating, maintaining, and analysing of material properties, derived from experimental data
- Collaborating with suppliers and customers
Ideal Candidate:
- 2 years or more computational modelling experience in COMSOL, Ansys or equivalent
- Experience modelling electromagnetic absorption or radar cross-section analyses
- Understanding of acoustic attenuation - desirable
- Post-doctorate – desirable
- Experience in a manufacturing / engineering environment – desirable
- Involvement in polymer and elastomer technology – desirable
- Understanding of MRP systems
- Effective communication skills at all levels
- Self-motivated and results drive
