Role: Development Officer
Location: Barnstaple
Salary:£17,340 - £18,840 per annum depending on experience plus benefits
Hours:22.2 hours per week (can offer flexibility with work pattern)

The role
This is an exciting opportunity to assist in the delivery of our development, regeneration, and refurbishment projects across a range of tenures through the approved Group Development Strategy.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- to assist in the project management of the approved schemes, working with the appointed Project Team through pre and post contract processes to ensure compliance with Employer’s Requirements.
- to report upon and assist in the identification and investigation of prospective sites and other development opportunities, carry out initial feasibility studies, risk appraisal and market research.
- to ensure cost and programme targets are monitored and met through the analysis and use of M3 Pamwin Plus development appraisal software.
- To undertake site visits to support site identification, site clearance, review of land and boundaries, construction progress and liaise with contractors and new residents in the handover of new properties.
About you
To be considered, we’ll need you to have;
- experience of project planning and management
- a clear understanding of planning, building construction and contract tendering and management
- strong organisational and people skills, coupled with the ability to problem solve
- previous experience of working in an office environment supporting the delivery of projects
- the ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and meet performance targets
And it would be desirable if you had;
- experience within a housing environment
- experience working with development appraisal software, such as M3 Pamwin Plus or Proval
- knowledge of property and contract legislation
- experience of using project management software such as Microsoft Project or other applications to include Gannt charts, Kanban boards, etc.
