AWS DevOps Engineer – Remote/UK
We’re looking for an AWS-focused DevOps Engineer to work for a UK-based Trading firm. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to gain exposure and grow their career within DevOps and SRE.
The Role
You will play a crucial role in supporting the development teams by enhancing CI/CD systems, maintaining access control & trading systems, and streamlining overall development processes.
Although based in London, you can work from anywhere in the UK with only occasional office days (around 1 per month).
In addition to the above, you’ll be tasked with the following:
- Support Developers: Collaborate with software development teams to help them understand build systems and processes, offering technical assistance to resolve issues related to deployment and infrastructure.
- Enhance CI/CD Systems: Continuously improve and optimize our CI/CD pipelines to ensure faster and more reliable software delivery.
- Access Control Systems: Maintain and monitor access control systems, ensuring proper permissions and security protocols are in place.
- System Enhancement: Identify and implement enhancements to various systems and tools that streamline the development process and improve overall efficiency.
- Python/ETL: Build ETL pipelines using Python
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within an AWS environment in a DevOps-related role.
Also, it would be great to see some of the following the following:
- Strong knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure
- Experience/knowledge with containerization (Docker) and orchestration
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Previous exposure to infrastructure as code (IAC) using Terraform
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Previous programming/scripting experience, ideally Python
