Once trained by a Registered Dietitian, to be responsible for the delivery of patient weight management group programmes under regular supervision across Sunderland and Washington to enable them to implement recommendations and to work with them to overcome barriers To provide support with weight management for patients on a 1:1 basis under regular supervision, to enable them to implement recommendations and to work with them to overcome barriers and working within agreed dietetic protocols under supervision. To ensure accurate and robust collection of data relating to individual patients. To provide effective feed back on patients to the Registered Dietitians in the team To collect and record patient anthropometric measurements within Excel producing basic reports when requested. To prioritise own workload. To support the Dietitian in delivering effective nutrition promotion activities within the identified community and be involved in the development of nutrition resources. To participate in clinical audit through the collection of data contributing to the development of outcome measures, and evaluation of services. To actively participate in clinical supervision To monitor and order resource supplies, materials, nutritional leaflets and stationary. To take an active part in the departmental audit programme presenting results to colleagues at staff meetings as required. To assist with general administration duties as requested. To take part in student training. To work flexibly within the job description to carry out any other duties as required. To be flexible with working hours as evening and weekend working will be expected.
