JOB MISSION:
Due to internal progression, a position has become available for a Digital Accounting Analyst to join New Balance to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation and to identify any potential process gaps, control issues and fraud. This role will be expected to travel on a quarterly basis to visit the digital team in Amsterdam and an annual visit to CPM in Barcelona.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Marketplace Ecommerce Accounting
- Responsible for the Reconciliation of all Transactions within the ERP & Payment platforms for large Marketplace Partner covering 11 Countries across EU
- Marketplace Commission Reconciliations
- OMNI Gift Card reconciliations and associated journal postings
- Review & Action Paypal platform withdrawals.
- Deal with advanced Digital Ecommerce & Marketplace queries/disputes, liaising with internal departments to reach a timely & efficient solution.
- Escalation/support for 3rd party & internal Digital Customer Service Teams regarding payment/refund queries
- Staff Incentives tracking & reporting for EMEA region
- Support on Audit
VAT & Month End Reporting
- OSS VAT Reporting for the EMEA Region-Data Collation, Review and timely submission to 3rd Party Auditors
- Local VAT reporting relating to Digital DTC transactions for France, Norway & Ireland
- Direct Contact for any VAT Queries/Discrepancies regarding Digital DTC Sales
- Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Calculation & Posting of Monthly Accruals relating to Commission, Fees & Goodwill relating to Marketplace Partners
- Update and provide commentary on Monthly Marketplace & Ecommerce Tracker
Digital Project Support
- Support Digital Accounting Manager and wider Digital Team on any new and ongoing projects.
- Attending regular project calls
- Support testing of new Marketplace implementations
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
- Experience working within a busy/fast paced Finance team.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Data Driven Analyst
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivots/Vlookups)
- Solution minded, with a Growth mindset and able to adapt well to change.
- Ability to develop and build good customer relations both internally & externally.
- Able to organise & prioritise own workload and work to tight deadlines.
- Full or part AAT Qualified (Desirable)
