Digital Content Officer - Hybrid working 3 days week on site in Paisley
Our leading Public sector client is looking to hire 2 highly experienced Digital Content Officers to join their team on a initial 2 month contract, looking for people local to Paisley
As a Digital Content Officer your responsibilities will include:
- Creating, designing, producing, and editing, website content (including copy & images ) that is accurate, engaging, and promotes the University.
- Publishing content regularly within the University content management system and exercising rigorous quality control over our web site ensuring that content is accurate, up-to-date and the user experience is optimised.
- Copywriting, proofing and checking all information prior to publication.
Qualifications
- Degree, or equivalent, preferably in Marketing, Communications or Design; practical content management experience with professional qualifications considered
Experience
- Experience with content management on public-facing web sites
- Experience working to copy and brand guidelines
- Understanding of UX/UI and web design principles
- Creating and updating copy for a corporate website(s)
- Experience in the use of content management systems (CMS)
- Creating and manipulating images using rich media manipulation software such as Adobe Creative Cloud
- Working knowledge of HTML
- Working knowledge of SEO
- Understanding of Digital Accessibility principles
- Using a logical, step-by-step approach to ensure solution designs are user friendly and simple to use
Skills
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills - for digital and/or print media
- Excellent IT skills
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent design skills
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate interactions with a range of contacts across the University
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work flexibly to often shifting deadlines and priorities
