Twinkl is seeking a dynamic teacher and digital evangelist with experience using digital content in the classroom, solid commercial insight and a proven track record in leadership and communication to spearhead its digital content strategy.

This pivotal role involves leading a team of dedicated product owners managing web and mobile apps, aimed at primary and/or secondary educators. The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering innovation, driving product development, communicating with customers and driving the digital marketing and maintaining a creative culture in line with Twinkl's leadership standards.

You will ensure we are maximising opportunities in the digital space, keeping an eye on the competitive market and supporting Product Owners with their app strategies

Responsibilities include, coaching the team, innovating and pushing the development of both existing and new educational apps, developing processes for communication from Product Owners across departments and maintaining active communication with key stakeholders.

This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact the world of educational materials, requiring a strategic vision for digital trends and a strong background in the education or EdTech sector.

Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day:

  • Identifying customer pain points and developing solutions.
  • Analysing product performance and reporting findings.
  • Managing the product lifecycle and stakeholder communication.
  • Guiding product owners in competitor analysis, market research, and strategic decision-making.
  • Providing leadership and coaching to product owners, and leading recruitment within your product groups.
  • Strategising for future releases and conducting strategic reviews to align with the App Development Roadmap.
  • Serving as the key communication link within your group, coordinating with marketing, brand, production managers, and customer-facing teams.
  • Developing programs for continuous professional development (CPD) for the product owner team and fostering innovation within the market.
  • Exploring partnership opportunities and contributing to Twinkl's overall product strategy by identifying key digital objectives.
  • Offering advice for a mature digital strategy and overseeing improvements to existing digital products (e.g., Create, Symbols, Apps, Planner, the Twinkl Assessment Platform, and Report Writer).
  • Maintaining an overview of all digital products to ensure progress and cohesion, supporting product owners in executing improvements, and using data evaluation for informed decision-making and ideation.

Requirements

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with at least 5 years teaching experience
  • Have a hard work ethic, be passionate, driven and love what you do
  • Be organised, able to work to deadlines, and manage your time effectively
  • Have a passion for team leadership and coaching team members
  • Be able to communicate with colleagues and our external partners effectively
  • Have analytical and problem-solving skills to make data-driven and business decisions
  • Have a knowledge and experience of the National Curriculum and other statutory and non-statutory frameworks to contribute to your understanding of the target market
  • Own, support and continually improve digital product content.
