What you will be doing

Connexin is on a mission to connect the real world with the digital world to improve the way we live. We entered the fibre market in Hull, long suffering from monopoly to challenge the norm and create better products for our customers. This role is critical to the commercial success of all of our business units. The post holder is responsible for maximising conversions by enhancing the digital customer journey and driving more sales and leads through expert management of our website, Paid Digital Media and SEO strategies. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, development and user experience, leveraging a data-driven approach to identify opportunities for optimisation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, oversee, and refine comprehensive digital media campaigns across various channels such as paid search (Google Ads), paid social media (including Meta platforms), and affiliate marketing, aligning these efforts with the company's sales targets and brand strategy for maximum impact.
  • Implement advanced SEO techniques to enhance organic search visibility and attract targeted traffic, focusing on continuous improvement and keyword optimisation strategies.
  • Take ownership of the company's website, prioritising development and content updates to maximise ROI, ensuring content is fresh, relevant, and aligned with marketing goals.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of the digital customer journey, pinpointing areas of friction and opportunities for enhancement to boost user experience and conversion rates significantly.
  • Design, implement, and analyse A/B testing and other conversion rate optimisation experiments to systematically increase the efficiency of the website and landing pages, using insights to drive strategic improvements.
  • Facilitate close collaboration with the development team to ensure marketing and web development efforts are tightly integrated, conveying requirements and championing digital improvements that support marketing objectives.
  • Provide clear, concise, and insightful reporting on digital performance metrics weekly to various business units, enabling data-driven decisions that align with strategic goals.

Essential qualifications and experience

  • Proven track record in effectively managing comprehensive Google Ads and Google Analytics campaigns, alongside crafting and executing high-performing SEO strategies that demonstrably drive sales growth.
  • Skilled in creating, monitoring, and optimising Meta paid social campaigns to enhance brand visibility and engagement, contributing to overall business growth.
  • Expertise in conversion rate optimisation, proficient in utilising analytical tools like Hotjar and Google Analytics (GA4) to glean insights and inform strategic decisions.
  • Significant experience in website management, with in-depth knowledge of various CMS platforms, ensuring the ability to drive content and structural improvements.
  • History of successful collaboration with development teams, guiding digital initiatives that result in significant business impact.
  • Understanding of affiliate marketing strategies and experience in managing diverse stakeholder groups across different departments, enhancing marketing coherence and efficiency.
  • Strong skills in analysing large data sets, turning complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic marketing decisions.
