Our client Banya Family Placement is hiring Digital Marketing Officer to join their team.
Accountability
The Marketing Officer is a post accountable to the Business Development Manager of Banya, working within Banya's values. This position is a part-time role and is vital to the growth of Banya.
Overall Responsibility:
The Marketing and Recruitment Officer is responsible for the overall management of
- Social Media strategy and content creation.
- SEO Strategy.
- Attend events (physical/virtual) and promote Banya.
- Follow up online leads and carer recommendations.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Offline:
- You will lead and create high-quality content for all printed materials across the organisation, coordinating content from across the organisation and stakeholders.
- You will create and edit video content for educational and promotional activities.
- You will support and attend events, canvass for foster carers, and publicise the organisation to attract applicants, including arranging and leading online events.
- You will support the implementation of all offline marketing strategies.
- You will assist with the promotion of Banya at national and industry-specific awards.
- You will assist with the annual Banya carer/children Breakthrough awards.
- You will support colleagues as needed to assist them in carrying out their duties.
- You will Supervise and manage the Marketing trainee.
- You will support 'calls of interest' to the office and website.
- You will regularly review obsolete leads and archives to ensure records are current.
- You will carry out tasks handed over from Management.
Online:
- You will manage and optimise the organisation's online presence, including website, email marketing campaigns, and social media channels to increase reach and engagement.
- You will lead the creation, distribution, monitoring, and reporting of Digital Marketing (including static and video content) and communication activities, ensuring key messages and events are profiled at the right time for best impact.
- You will ensure the organisation's social media channels reach a broad audience and continue to grow in influence by producing a lively, engaging, and informative stream of updates.
- You will monitor marketing activity and ensure resources are used effectively to achieve the overall goal of increasing foster carer numbers.
- You will organise press interviews and respond to requests quickly and accurately. When required, you will represent the organisation for television and radio interviews.
- You will write and distribute press releases for exhibitions, special events, family activities, projects, and other stories.
- You will develop and implement an annual social media and SEO strategy plan.
- You will support the external website team to ensure relevant and current content.
- You will create and distribute internal communications, including monthly newsletters and ad hoc requests.
- You will Manage and lead the Facebook Live events, including virtual match parties.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Skillset, Qualifications, and Experience
- Experience as Marketing/Digital media Manager/officer or similar role.
- Experience in graphic design, including the use of Adobe software suite.
- Experience in creating and editing video content.
- Good knowledge of marketing techniques and principles
- Understanding the fostering sector is desirable; however, job support and training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Experience in planning and executing paid and organic social media activities.
- Experience in planning and executing paid and organic SEO activities.
- Good understanding of social media and web analytics
- Flexibility to travel within the UK.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
