Digital Project Engineer - Immediate Start

The Digital Project Engineerwill co-ordinate all engineering strands to ensure IT, digital manufacturing and software engineering integration for a major nuclear programme with a value in excess of £1bn.

TheDigital Project Engineerwill be responsible for ensuring best practice from a known third party is facilitated into the Regen project across various responsible WBS areas/engineers. This is expected to be achieved by understanding all delegated stakeholder’s delivery plans for a regeneration programme, then coordinating the integration between all involved to enable a strong, cohesive project solution. We expect somebody in this position to have mid-senior technical project management experience within both the design and implementation of digital solutions in new manufacturing facilities and/or legacy manufacturing improvement projects. Tacit knowledge of nuclear safety requirements and experience handling highly classified data will be beneficial.

This individual must engage others, actively listen and work collaboratively, liaising with multiple specialist groups of staff across the WBS to act as single-point-of contact on behalf of the to integrate a golden thread of digital activity. Coaching and responsibility for the direction will remain with the  Task Supervisor  to ensure alignment to  corporate stance. 

Essentials:

• Security Check (SC) clearance without caveats to that clearance.
• Hybrid Office and Factory based (Derby)

Professional Competence:

• Mid-senior technical project management experience within both the design and implementation of digital solutions in new manufacturing facilities and/or legacy manufacturing improvement projects.
• Knowledge of nuclear safety requirements.
• Experience handling highly classified data.

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to be able to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
