JOB DESCRIPTION
Assystem require are looking for a person with experience of setting up and running a DevOps environment within a digital manufacturing environment.
The aim of this role is to support the senior management to create, maintain and take ownership of the monitoring of progress against a digital manufacturing delivery roadmap.
You will need to be a good communicator and work in a collaborative way, and able to work under your initiative while being able to ask for support from colleagues or Assystem when you need it.
We envisage that the ideal candidate will be someone who has a Data Engineering background and can quickly establish data pipelines to move away from an excel based reporting system to create an automated reporting environment.
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, whether automotive, aerospace or FMCG would be a distinct advantage.
Initially the role would involve upskilling in Azure Dev-Ops to ensure the teams fully understand its use and functionality.
Capturing stakeholder requirements and then translating those into a design and implementation for a DevOps development project, making best use of typical DevOps tools (kanban, backlog and dashboards, for instance)
The role would then require the implementation of the project and communication of the adaptations required in project delivery methods to ensure reporting is captured effectively.
Following the initial establishment of the role there is scope to take on a project lead role be leading agile ceremonies, monitoring and reporting progress, prioritizing work and coaching the team in agile methods.

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to be UK nationals in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already Security Cleared to a minimum SC level.
