About the Candidate
We are looking for enthusiastic Digitisation Assistants to join the team in our new Livingston office at Deans Industrial Estate. This position is based in Livingston Mon-Fri (9am -5pm), with some flexibility and may also involve some travel and working at customer locations UK wide on specific projects.
The successful candidate must have a passion for photography, technology and a good eye for detail. They will possess a good level of IT skills ( excel, word, windows, be able to name & move files accurately).
It is preferable (not essential) to have photography experience.
Candidates must also have a valid driving licence, be willing & able to travel and be able to work with minimal supervision.
The successful applicant must be able to work in a flexible environment and adhere to strict deadlines.
Full training provided.
About the Role
The role will involve digitisation of various types of content including bound volumes, photographs, loose sheets, large format maps, drawings, paintings, HR, Health & Safety, Engineering records , microfilm, slides, aperture cards, glass plates.
The job will involve all aspects of the digitisation process from document preparation, imaging, post processing of images, indexing, data capture, uploading to secure portals, creating logs and reports.
The position is full-time and is expected to start 1 August 2023.
