Director, Brand Integration - International

Expedia Group’s Global Marketing and Creative team is dedicated to developing and implementing innovative and effective global marketing and partnerships across our family of brands. Within this organization, the International team is responsible for the strategic approach and execution of communications for Hotels.com, Vrbo and Expedia in all markets outside of the US. We are looking for an experienced Director of Brand Integration, who can contribute to building a positive and high-performing team culture as our organisation continues to transition and grow. This position requires someone with an expert understanding of brand, creative development and production. The role will work with teams across the organization from local market, brand teams, creatives, producers, comms planning, media. A high degree of collaboration across the organisation is needed as a large part of the role requires input from teams outside of the Expedia Brands organisation and as such the candidate needs to feel comfortable working autonomously and excel at building relationships and proficient at stakeholder management.

In summary, we are seeking someone who is passionate about using creativity driven by strategy to solve business problems at scale. Someone who has both the thought leadership and the executional excellence that leads to effective, world class storytelling.

Reporting to the Head of Global Comms Planning, the role will be based in London but with a need to travel to LA, Seattle and Japan.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for planning, managing, and executing marketing communication efforts outside of the US across Expedia, H.com and Vrbo.
  • Make strategic recommendations on where to lean in with which brands depending on market dynamics, competitive landscape and business objectives.
  • Lead the development of local bespoke work, managing work through business brief to creative brief, creative development through our agency network and production/deployment.
  • Work in partnership with the global brand teams to adapt global platform campaigns, managing both internal creative work streams and those of our agency partners.
  • Own the forecast, scoping and capacity planning based off the annual plan, inclusive of managing the budget on an annual and quarterly basis in partnership with production and global brand leads.
  • Develop communications across all touchpoints for our brands ensuring creative objectives are well defined and appropriately executed.
  • Approach, prioritize and solve problems from a data and systems perspective. Comfortably use data to tell a story and influence leaders at all levels.

Who you are:

  • 15+ years related professional experience
  • Seasoned global brand marketing for consumer brand(s)
  • Deep understanding scaling global brand campaigns across new international markets
  • Data driven and effectively leverage insights to make educated business decisions
  • Demonstrate strategic and critical thinking skills with the ability to see the big picture while also able to dive into the details where necessary
  • Ability to provide strong visual storytelling, can communicate effectively, and concisely to your audience
  • Experience leading, inspiring, and motivating your team as well as the larger organization
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility and accountability in a constant fast-evolving environment
