We are currently seeking a Director, FX Cashand EM Rates Product Owner to join the desk in London.

Responsibilities:
- Implement the short, medium and long term FX Cash & EM strategy with business heads to maximise business outcomes.
- Drive the future state for the platform (architecture and business process)
- Balance FX Cash & EM Technology and Process Strategy with other constraints (cost pressure, ops risk, regulatory, efficiency initiatives etc.)
- Actively manage the balance between regulatory / mandatory / platform delivery and business growth delivery
- Ensure key processes and practices Front-to-Back are in-line with the GFX & EM Platform Strategy
- Act as an ambassador to promote Product Owner model across MSS through personal conduct and leadership
Execution
- Monitoring and Communication: Maintain a view over all FX Cash & EM deliveries - communicating plans / progress both internally and externally, especially to support functions
- Prioritisation: Ensure that the Global Head of FX Cash & EMR’s priorities cascade down, and drive delivery of these priorities front-to-back (Ops. Risk, Finance, PC)
- Method: Establish a framework of measurable Business Outcomes across the asset class which can be used to track progress and inform prioritisation decisions
Management and Leadership
- Maximise Technology delivery into the FX Cash & EM Business by using the Product Owner model across the asset class
- To be successful in this role, the candidate must work in partnership with Technology in order to drive delivery.
- They should lead and enable technology teams: removing blockers, answering questions and providing information which helps the delivery team move quicker.
- Ensure Business Heads put sufficient emphasis on maintaining the FX Cash & EM Platform front-to-back and establish a sense of partnership between Business and Technology
Synergies
- Use experience and analysis to identify and maximise potential Platform synergies (i.e. shared systems / components / data / functionality etc.) both between different GFX business lines, and between GFX and the rest of MSS and other HSBC divisions
- Help to break down / minimise product and location silos in the Business
- Maximise process and practice consistency globally to increase efficiency
Budget
- Help the annual budgeting process to be as transparent and effective as possible, ensuring FX Cash & EM can obtain the maximum amount of funding by developing clear and defendable plans and business outcomes.
Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)
- Is aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and acts in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
- Is aware of the Non-Financial Risks associated with the Change portfolio and ensures that risks are mitigated or escalated to the appropriate governance forum (i.e. Business Control Committee)
Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
- Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
- Ensures that all of the Conduct standards implemented for MSS are maintained.
Role Dimensions (e.g. balance sheet size, lending/expenditure limits, size/volume of transactions)
- Accountability for the technology budget remains with the Head of the FICC Platform. This role would be responsible for ensuring that the budget is deployed to deliver the maximum impact to the business. This involves ensuring that governance is in place to ensure controlled delivery and early identification of issues.
