We’re seeking a future team member for the role of DIRECTOR, HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT – EMEA to join our DEPOSITARY RECEIPTS team. This role is located in LONDON (Hybrid).
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Independently develops the strategic plan for growing existing client base, with a focus on revenue growth across EMEA region
Will collaborate with other Relationship Managers across the region and/or marshal firm-wide resources (marketing, legal, compliance, etc.) to ensure new client needs are being addressed and to proactively inform clients of industry developments or firms thought leadership
Build/leverage key third party relationships (Institutions, Investors (Private Equity Venture Capital), Legal, Global Exchanges etc) to best position BNY Mellon as an expert in the space in order to win more business and grow revenue
Develop, track, support and report on Business Development strategy/results for assigned client region
Contribute to the development of team/unit metrics, dashboards and roadmaps
Serves in a consultative role to the client, advising client top leadership (C-Suite) on the best way to achieve short- and long- term strategic goals
Provide clients with industry expertise understanding and sharing trends as well as current and potential impact on the client business model
Promotes firm services/product offerings that solve client challenges and foster account growth
Evaluate and structure deal (pricing, contract terms, etc.) to ascertain the optimal terms for both the client and the firm
Recommend areas for firm thought leadership efforts based on client feedback and may deliver thought feedback both internally and externally to clients
Attend industry events and conferences to remain visible in the market, understand and remain current on industry trends and competitor services/offerings
Ensures client onboarding and/or risk management activities are conducted and captured (KYC, BAC, etc.) Serves as the interface for compliance, regulatory, reputational matters between clients and the Bank. In some regional/local markets may manage relationships with regulators directly
No direct reports
May lead small teams and enlist and guide other RMs to support in managing very large, global complex accounts. Teams are geographically dispersed with multiple reporting lines, adding to complexity of oversight
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Extensive years of experience in Business Development, Sales and Relationship Management
Knowledge and experience to be able to consult across the rapidly evolving Financial Services, Technology and Fintech landscapes
Experience with Corporate clients (e.g. Technology, Finance) as well as C-suite connectivity preferred
Demonstrated track record in exceeding sales or growth targets and an ability to cross sell multiple products and solutions is preferred
Significant knowledge of Equity Capital Markets
Previous working experience with large Institutions (bulge-bracket banks) covering Corporate(s)
Minimum Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. MBA or other advanced degree preferred
