ROLE SUMMARY:
The Director, M&E Supply will be responsible for driving revenue growth and profitability within the Meetings
& Events business segment for Reed & Mackay. This role requires a deep understanding of the industry, strong
business acumen to build effective preferred partnership structures, and the ability to cultivate and
maintain key supply relationships
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own the commercial go-to-market strategy for Events
- Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive revenue growth and market share within the Events sector.
- Pillars of the strategy will include Supplier Management and collaboration and coordination with internal stakeholders for reporting needs, delivery on the end to end commercial contract cycle, and projection and pipeline forecasting.
- Implement a dynamic customer pricing schedule that is competitive and drives revenue growth
Relationship Management
- Act as a point of contact for key stakeholders and suppliers
- Represent and promote Reed & Mackay and raise the brand with suppliers re Events
- Work alongside other commercial colleagues to raise awareness around Meetings and Events and align on the global supplier strategy
- Negotiate on individual events or global supplier contracts
Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities and threats.
- Conduct regular market analysis and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making and adjust commercial strategies accordingly.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Sales, Operations, and Marketing, to align commercial strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics, including revenue targets, sales pipeline, client retention rates, and profitability.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing commercial performance, trends, and insights for senior management review.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Proven experience (5 years) in commercial or business development roles within the Meetings &
Events industry. - Deep understanding of the Meetings & Events market, including industry trends, client needs, and
competitor landscape. - Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of successfully closing deals
and achieving revenue targets. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with
clients and internal stakeholders. - Strategic thinker with analytical abilities to assess market opportunities, develop actionable insights,
and drive informed decision-making. - Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives and delivering measurable
outcomes.
