Salary: £75,000.00-£85,000.00 per year

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to manage the health, wellbeing, safety, Environmental and Quality function for a leading utilities company, ensuring compliance across all areas and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of the SHEQ strategy and vision, focusing on compliance and continuous improvement.
• Drive the Net Zero strategy, prioritizing environmental sustainability initiatives to meet targets effectively.
• Manage and lead incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
• Develop, review, and update health, safety, environmental, and Quality policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Liaise with external bodies, clients, and stakeholders, representing the company at various forums.
• Provide input into prequalification and tender submissions, preparing regular reports on operational SHEQ performance.

Key Competencies:

• Thorough knowledge of Health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
• Proven experience in setting health, safety, environmental, and Quality strategies.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to establish and lead a team of advisors.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to deliver articulate presentations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Essential Qualifications:

• NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Occupational H&S Practice.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental roles.
• Hold or working towards Chartership of Institution of Occupational Safety & Health.
• Must hold a current UK Driving License.

Desirable Qualifications:

• IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 Internal Auditor certification.
