Job Title: Director of International Tax and AccountingLocation: Remote (anywhere in the UK)Salary: Competitive base salary, £59,600 to £70,000 per annumPosition Summary:As the Director of International Tax and Accounting, you will be the lead Finance resource for the company's international operations. This role involves ensuring timely tax filings, regulatory compliance, operational accounting, financial reporting, and audit activities. The position is remote and can be based anywhere in the UK.Specific Responsibilities:Proactively identify potential tax, regulatory, accounting, and audit issues.Mentor International Accounting and Tax team members for continuous growth.Establish, maintain, and document systems and processes for compliance with local national tax laws and regulatory requirements.Engage and manage third-party service providers for tax, regulatory, accounting, and audit services.Serve as the final authority for international vendor expenses and employee expenses.Prepare monthly financial management reports and variance analyses for Europe and Asia CEOs.Assign duties and manage the performance of the Senior Accountant - International Tax and Accounting.Other accounting/finance responsibilities as they arise and skill set accommodates.Systems:Intacct ERPAdvanced ExcelNetForum Association Management System (AR subledger)Vena budgeting systemCentre Card system (corporate credit card system)Supervisory Responsibilities:Senior Manager - International Tax and Accounting (based in Germany)Associate - Accounting (based in the US)Experience:Relevant accounting work with a focus on tax, specifically Europe VAT and sales tax regimes in various Asian countries.Deep experience with accounting software tools and expert-level MS Office.Working familiarity with FP&A process and work products.At least a working familiarity with the budget process.Working knowledge of German corporate income tax (preferable but not required).Education:Relevant, professional tax certification.Skills:Excellent spoken and written English is required.Strong interpersonal skills with experience interacting with colleagues from different countries.Other:Occasional international travel is required, primarily within Europe, but also to Asia and the US.Must have a valid, active international passport.Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
