The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in UK’s Building Services sector. Alternative Heat design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
Role:
We are seeking a self-motivated candidate that will be a key member of the team. Your daily tasks will involve managing and recording large amounts of information and ensuring it is accurately stored. You will also help with other administrative duties such as answering telephone, stationary and any other ad hoc duties that are required.

Responsible to |Document Control Manager
Responsibilities
- Process a large number of documents daily, including uploading & downloading drawings / documents and printing distribution.
- Manage the Document Transmittal process with the Client.
- Working on active projects ensuring that information is recorded and uploaded onto companies CDE and distributed to all relevant parties.
- Maintain accurate document record logs of all drawings and documents issued by all parties at each stage of a project.
- Work to continuously improve and enhance procedures and systems utilized for Document Control.
- General administration of project documents.
- Perform weekly checks to ensure all project documents are kept up to date.
- Build, manage & maintain relationships with clients, contractors, other construction professionals, suppliers, and staff.
- Attend meetings and ensure that Document Control protocols are being adhered to ensuring that accurate minutes are recorded and distributed to relevant people.
- Report to the Document Control Manager on a daily basis.
- To maintain high standards of work within your department.
- General administrative work and any other duties necessary to support office staff including answering phones when required.
Criteria
Essential Criteria:
- A minimum of 2 Years’ experience in an administrative role.
- 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above or equivalent, these must include Mathematics and English Language
- Good Microsoft Office skills – to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to take ownership of their duties and a willingness to grow and learn within their team and the company.
- Demonstrate a good ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good telephone manner and professional approach to all daily tasks.
- Previous Construction industry knowledge
- Document Management experience
Desired Criteria:
- Knowledge of Cloud based storage platforms or Common Data Environments for example Viewpoint for Project (Full Training will be given)
