Position
- Document Controller to accurately prepare and manage project documents for a new service within our business
Responsibilities
- Controlling project documentation
- Following and improving document control procedures
- Ensuring all documentation meets formal requirements and required standards
- Sorting, storing and retrieving electronic and hard copy documents on behalf of clients and industry professionals
- Producing document progress reports for senior managers
- Conducting regular reviews and document audits
- Helping in the planning stages of a specific project
- Ensuring documents are shared at key times to facilitate timely project completion
- Keep track of important project documents including project plans, drawings and contracts
- Performing data entry tasks when project documents need updating
- Printing and distributing project documents to directors and the team
- Converting paper documents to an electronic format as and when required
- Keeping files organised by project
- Managing requests for documentation
Key Attributes and Key Skills
- Two years or more in document control would be an advantage
- Hold an NVQ or a CPD credited document control training qualification would be an advantage
- Have knowledge of ASITE, BIW, 4Projects or any other similar document control system would be an advantage
- Be able to work with the directors to assist in the set up of internal systems and ensure all parties provide information to meet deadlines
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Be an assertive and effective communicator
- Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Have good organisation skills
- Be a positive team member
