Job description

Experienced Document Controller is required on a full-time permanent basis based in Newcastle. I am working exclusively with my client who require a hard-working and skilled Document Controller who has extensive experience of working with 4-Projects software within the Construction and Engineering industries.
Main Duties:
* Daily use of 4-Propjects software system and Viewpoint to store, share, upload and label all project related documents.
* Prepare and provide documentation to internal projects team and Project and Design managers
* Retrieve necessary information (e.g. user/client requirements and relevant case studies)
* Act as the point of contact for all participants
* Raising of all Sub-Contract Orders & maintaining Logs
* Support the design team ensuring all design information is controlled and maintained in a methodical manner and issued within set time scales.
* Be communication liaison for the design and site teams including key documentation and handover information.
* Support the Viewpoint Champion for the project team.
* Support the relevant Teams with the workflow process, RDD, RFI, Change Control and linking information to virtual containers within Viewpoint.
* Manage Viewpoint i.e. creating internal and external document containers with our Viewpoint template or inviting and revoking internal and external users.
* Manage registers and audit site records regularly to ensure compliance with our BMS processes and procedures.
* Generate and issue reports to internal/external parties when required.
* Stock material requests & replenishment (where required)
* Assisting the team with the management and reporting of all Key Stages & documentation
* Organising surplus material returns to the suppliers.
* To ensure the confidentiality and security of all information processed during employment in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and any subsequent legislative revisions and additions.
* To be aware of personal responsibilities under Health and Safety regulations and attend appropriate training.
What we need from you:
* Min 1 years experience working as a Document Controller or Project Coordinator or similar role
* Must have experience of using 4-Projcts/ Viewpoint software is essential
* Construction or Engineering industry experience is required
* Computer literate with knowledge/experience of Microsoft suite, i.e., outlook, word, excel and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge and/or experience of the Document Control Process at operational level.
* Solid organisational and time-management skill
* Team spirit and work effectively to deadlines
* Flexibility in schedule
* NVQ Business Administration or related field desirable
* Willingness to undertake relevant professional qualifications.
