A Hotel Duty Manager ensures the smooth and efficient day to day running of the hotel operations and provided a high level of customer service at all times. Maintaining effective and consistent communication between each department, providing the opportunity for all heads of departments to meet and discuss the hotel operations on a regularly basic or when necessary.
The job holder will do tasks within his/her level of skills and ability. Also helping to promote equality, diversity and above all a happy and healthy work place. Professionally providing a pro-active and efficient support to the Hotel Managers and all other employees, leading by example.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service at all time, ensuring our guest’s comfort and safety.
- Deal with all guest relations and potential complaints in a professional and courteous manner, in person or over the telephone.
- Monitor, manage and maintain effective and efficient use of the hotel’s reservation system, Hotel Perfect. Using the report facility when necessary.
- Complete daily administration tasks as required.
- Compiling daily, weekly and monthly management reports, including bedroom checks ensuring that they are to our luxury standards at all times.
- Health & Safety reports and check lists
- Conduct new employee inductions and training or arrange training when necessary.
- Ensure that all public areas and function rooms under your responsibility are checked thoroughly, throughout each shift. Ensuring that our high standards are constantly met.
- Deal with any faults or damage in any bedroom, public areas or hotel grounds, arranging and liaising with third party contractor and the hotel maintenance team.
- Complete employee rotas when necessary and check staff levels/rotas on a daily basic.
- Other duties may be required daily or when necessary, to ensure the efficient operation of the hotel.
Qualifications & Experience Required
24 months experience of working within a Duty Manager position.
Managing and providing support to a large team of employees.
Excellent communication and organisation skills and IT skills required, for the use of the Hotel’s reservations and booking system – Hotel Perfect
