THE COMPANY
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and dynamic E-commerce Manager to shape and develop the e-commerce strategy for this well-known and fast growing, multi-site industrial services business. Our client is a highly successful UK division of major international Group, and one of the largest product stockists in its core markets, providing renowned branded products to a diverse range of industries on a global basis. As the business continues its digital transformation, e-commerce is at the forefront of their strategic vision, propelling them towards ambitious growth objectives. This newly created role is anything but ordinary, offering great scope to make a significant impact on the development of the company s online presence, customer experience and revenue growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Working closely with the Head of Marketing, and a key member of the team, main responsibilities are as follows:-
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive e-commerce strategy that aligns with the company's overarching growth objectives
- Management of the company's e-commerce website, ensuring the site is user-friendly, visually appealing and search engine optimised
- Track and evaluate KPIs relating to e-commerce operations, sales, conversion rates, web traffic, customer engagement, acquisition and behaviour
- Analyse sales data, identifying areas for improvement, developing initiatives to boost conversion rates, average order value and customer retention
- Collaborate with the marketing team, web developers and SEO agencies to optimise website, campaigns and promotions performance
- Coordinate with the product management team, optimising product categorisation and search functionality to enhance customer shopping experience
- Generate and review monthly analytics data, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
THE IDEAL PERSON
- Significant experience managing an e-commerce platform with a large product catalogue, ideally in an industrial services or manufacturing setting
- Track record of delivery in meeting and exceeding ambitious e-commerce growth objectives
- Comfortable in managing SEO, PPC and Google Analytics, evaluating data to enhance e-commerce performance
- Understanding of User Experience (UX) principles and web design
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, experienced in dealing with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent time management with the ability to manage own workload, organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines
- Independent, can do team player, able to work in an ambitious and enthusiastic marketing team
